That sounds like Luka and his dad had a big role to play in that. If so big endorsement of Sweeney by the Don.

They certainly had much to do with that. Sweeney might not be the best assistant in the NBA, but he is probably still miles ahead what our team has currently

Honestly, after tonights performance, I wouldn't be surprised the Mavs fire Kidd and promote Sweeney to interim HC until they can find someone (Budenholzer) to come in the offseason.

Further, when Dallas media is calling for a coaching change, you know shit has hit the fan.

The last time I remember Dallas media publicly calling for a coaching change was Avery in 2007 after the Warriors out schemed him and Dirk. Except this time Kidd seems unable to even make the playoffs. At least Avery could do that.

What Milwaukee did. They got a little better that season and then won 60 games the next.  It’s hard to believe the level of disaster this season is becoming. The franchise needs punishment so they wake the F up!

It's not looking good thus far.

He is performing his role on offense really well.  His defense isn't good though.  The athleticism and effort are good but the results are generally really disappointing.  This is what happens when a young player isn't coached.  Josh is being raised by wolves.  Really dumb wolves.

The only saving grace is that Rick Carlisle's team would be 16th. :/

But he swept his former team and soundly beat them both times.  That's a win for him.

The way Kidd is talking like this is a rebuilding team, he knows he is safe. Especially now that he has an excuse of the growing pains of adding new players after the trade. We will be stuck with him for a long time!

Maybe he can morph into Pascal Siakam.

Cuban on politics.

Ahhh, so that is why the Mavs have been so badly managed, why their resources have been squandered for so long, and why they struggle to win things.

They're run like a blue ship and Cuban is a chip off the old block. Big Grin

And if Luka takes his talents elsewhere, it will fully become a sinking blue ship, going down with Cap'n Cuban at the helm. No land ahoy me maties!

Sorry, I'm in piratey mood today. Tongue

Well, at least Cuban knows his politics.

Luka Doncic last 6 Games:

39-10-11
38-11-10
37-12-11
30-10-16
45-09-14
33-06-06

Jordan-esque!

Yet, the Mavs are suffering the blues. They've gone 1-5... and have an atrocious 127.3 defensive rating over that stretch. :\
