AROUND the NBA: MIN Sweeps PHX!
Milwaukee is really bad right now. Doesn't look like they will reach 90 points against Orlando. Seems like they are getting worse each month. It will be interesting to see if this is an end to this generation. Not many options how to improve the team now.

Looks like Philly, Indy and Orlando will all register convincing wins, meaning Philly will be in the play-in and (if they beat Miami in game 1) playing against 2nd best team. Milwaukee without Giannis is losing by 20 while NY is more or less tight with Chicago. If NY wins, they beat Milwaukee for 2nd spot and likely face Philly, while Milwaukee will face Indy in round 1.

Indy is a team the Bucks don't want to see. They went 4-1 and all were convincing wins.

Bulls playing the Knicks tough. Going to OT. Knicks win, they are the 2 seed. Brunson with another 40 pt game.

Notable closing-day performances:

Dalano Blanton 6-26 from the field, including 0-15 from three.

Minnesota played all their starters big minutes, but lost to PHX.

GG Jackson 17-36 for 44 points against Denver.

And finally, the ESPN headline: “Sixers unveil Allen Iverson crossover statue at Sixers practice facility”. Does anyone else find that a bit ironic??

#10 seed in West was 20-10 against the East.

#2 seed in East was 15-15 against the West.

If my simple math is correct.

The two games today in which both teams had something to win or lose will be replayed soon - Phoenix against Minnesota in the first round and the Lakers against New Orleans in the play-in. To make things even more interesting: the two lower ranked teams both won in blowout fashion on the home floor of the higher ranked teams.

So Phoenix took the final direct playoff spot. That will be huge for them, imho. Old guys from LA and GSW playing younger NO and Sacramento teams in the play-in. I see Ingram returned from injury, but that team didn't look good lately. Sacramento barely finished ninth after holding numbr 5 spot in March or so.

And that suggests what?  A West team is going to win the title?  Jus asking....

I think twin tower Minny has zero chance against Phoenix shooting. They shot 55 % from three today. I've never been a Towns fan and I see he is back from injury...

As someone else pointed out, the West victor is going to come out torn up as hell by their opponents, while the Celtics will have barely broken a sweat at any point, so Boston is the prohibitive favorite to win the Larry. Even against the Nuggets. The only real "all bets are off" scenario is if the Lakers win the West. The Celtics may not be built to play five on eight.

Memphis may have found a player in GG Jackson. Hell, they always find good talent.

The Thunder are the youngest team ever to clinch a 1 seed.

Suns are 3-0 vs T-Wolves this season. Should be a spicy matchup in the playoffs.

Pacers are the 1st team to score 10,000 pts in a season since the 83-84 Denver Nuggets.

just surprised they didn't use their assets for an upgrade or 2
they could have gotten right into that Celtics/Nuggets tier
