Problem is that you cannot undo the induction of players that are already in the hall of fame. Same for the NBA 75 best players or similar selections. When they were inducted they were among the best players to ever play the game but 30 years later a player that used to be among the best 75 to ever play the game might not be among the best 100.
But Hollinger is right. The obsession with Lakers and Celtics role players is getting out of hand and isn't limited to past eras. Still the same in todays NBA.
