Moreover, Murphy's Mavs Law says that however many of the last ten games they don't win, that's how much their competitors in the standings (who are also very good and very motivated) will beat them out by. Can't take anything for granted. Luka and co. need to treat every single one of these last ten games the way they treated the Tuesday night game - that is, like a one-and-done. That said, none of the other nine games matters more than Friday night's, and they've already demonstrated how the dominant their current roster is over the Kings'. I can give them a pass on any one game (maybe even two or three games) of the last nine, but no excuses not to win Friday.
Edit: Case in point - surely the Mavs can trust the contender Bucks to help them out by beating the upstart Pels tonight, right? Nope.
