nothing newsy, but I heard a interview with the Jazz coach on the Ryen Rusillo podcast. He has an amazing story. Played basketball at Williams College in Mass. It is a Division 3 school, I believe. At a chance encounter he met an older couple who said they were planning on moving some stuff in their house. College student Will Hardy offered to help not thinking much about it. The next day, he got a call and they asked him to help. He wasn't expecting a call and offered to help initially to be nice. He honored his commitment and developed a friendship with this couple, who become like a grandpa to him. After a few years, Hardy was graduating and looking for jobs. He had no idea what he wanted to do. He was an English lit major. He reached out to a few NBA teams, some companies tied to his major and some jobs in cities he liked. He had no idea. All of a sudden, this older gentlemen said he had a job Will might like...working for the San Antonio Spurs. It turned out the guy was best friends with Coach Pop. He never mentioned this over years of talking hoops. Hardy got a call from Coach Pop and a few months later they reached out again and followed up with a few more interviews and this eventually lead to an intern position under RC Bufford.
Will Hardy came off really grounded and a guy who is easy to root for. Good interview.
