AROUND the NBA: Pat Bev Suspended 4 Games Next Season| PHX Fires Vogel
https://twitter.com/Kjpistons/status/166...8214218754

I was looking at the second round in 2014 and while there were some duds, there were a few really good players. Jokic being the best obviously.

Spencer Didwiddie, Jerami Grant, Jordan Clarkson & Joe Harris all went in the same range as Jokic. Dwight Powell went a few picks after Jokic so Denver missed one there.

On a separate note, it really is depressing looking at a full draft and not seeing one Mavs pick. Ugh....it bothers me so much!

The Chicago Bulls privately don’t think that it’s likely Lonzo Ball will ever play again, per @dan_bernstein on Organizations Win Championship Podcast.

I always think about Denver's decision they had to make between Jurkic and Jokic. They had drafted both and decided one had to be traded. They obviously guessed right by keeping Jokic who's a transcendent player in his own right. But what if they traded Jokic to Portland instead?  I think about what Portland would have been like with Jokic, Dame, and CJ McCollum.  What would have been the fate currently of both franchises?

Damn shame if this turns out to be true.

ESPN Sources: Nick Nurse has reached an agreement to become the next coach of the Philadelphia 76ers. Nurse — who won an NBA championship and a coach of year award with Toronto — now gets to coach the 2023 MVP Joel Embiid.

Caleb Martin is the MVP for Miami. It's stunning how much he has improved.

Stars aren´t doing anything. Role players are carrying both teams. Instead of Butler vs Tatum it is White vs Martin.

What a performance by him.  Just Amazing.

You need talent to win, but every year I watch the playoffs, tough players are almost as important.  Playoff games are brutal.  Not everyone can play well in these games.  Mavs need more tough players.

Boston got 3 happy and it cost them because they kept jacking them up after shooting 9-42, and most of those were contested. There are good open 3 pt shots and bad contested ones. But Miami lost 3 straight and still won the series so Denver better not overlook them. I like the Nuggets in 6 as they have the game's best player, but Miami is getting productivity from their bench. Should be a good series.

oh well nice try boston. Yall get a sentimental win for fighting to get back and even the series but damn sucks to get blasted like that on your home floor.

to be honest though, i thought Bron/the refs were gonna win a game or two and Boston was gonna get swept but whateves. My heart pulls for Denver but I have a feeling Miamis gonna get some ref tips to steal it which kinda sucks cause but Pat Rlley and UD getting another ring...... I always liked Kyle Lowry and dont mind Butler because at least when he goes flopping and selling contact but doesn't get every call he doesn't whine as long at the refs like Harden, CP3 or even Luka sometimes.

Murray gives me JET vibes, Bruce Brown rocks on that Matrix. DFS vibe playing good defense, cutting without the ball, getting second chance points etc and Jokic I've always ranked well but having watched him vs LA... hes gained my respect for real. Guy made AD look like a scrub!!

Let me get this straight. The Mavs have to play healthy Paul George and Kawhi, Warriors with All-Star Wiggins, etc. Meanwhile, I just watched White vs. Martin in the east finals.

Tatum just doesn’t have “it”. Call him a superstar all you want, when the lights get brighter, he gets dimmer.

Wow. I didn't think Miami can recover after the tough loss in game 6. I was expecting the result to be something opposite of what it has been. I really admire Miami, one of best stories.

He dropped 50+ in game 7 against the 76ers. Was up to his teammates to step up after he injured his ankle on the first play of the game. Cannot expect him to carry the team on one leg.
Brown is the real fraud. 19ppg 46% TS for the series. 8 tov in game 7.

I probably put too much weight into winshares but so often it can point out when a supposedly great player is meh. Brown is one of those guys. Just too many turnovers

Yeah I think IGT is being a prisoner of the moment (sorry bud!).

Jayson Tatum absolutely is a superstar and has "it". Dude demolishes in elimination games. Case in point: Averaging 28/10/7 on 50% shooting the last 3 wins to force a game 7.

To me Tatum belongs in a group with the likes of Devon Booker, Donovan Mitchell, etc.

Very good players, you can call them superstars. Deadly when they are on, but they can't control their on/off switch, so they are not consistent. Which puts them a tier below the true MVP-level stars like Jokic, LeBron, Luka, Giannis, Kawhi
