I agree that we didn't improve rim protection but we improved defensive rebounding by A LOT.  The number of times we played good defense but didn't finish the possession with a rebound was really painful.  Not saying we shouldn't be trying to improve rim protection but saying that if Wood can just prove to be as switchable as Powell then we improve our defense simply by adding a much better rebounder in the front court.
