Aslo, wasn't Windhurst yesterday all about Kyrie and Lakers?

Windy said if the Nets knew KD wanted out in the last day or so, the Nets would have traded Kyrie to the Lakers instead because they would give up both number 1's for Kyrie.

16ppg on 50/37/87 to go with 6rpg.

What's so bad about that besides his horrendous contract?

He always shrinks in big games.  He can put up numbers when no one cares.  I dont see how he fits on this team.  We need defense.  Who is going to guard KD?  Maxi?

Fair points on not showing up when you need him to. But if we're relying on Harris to put us over the hill, that means Kyrie and Luka aren't performing.

I suppose that matters when Harden and Embiid are your main guys, but I'm less worried about that cause Luka is Luka.

As to the defense, Harris isn't a bad defender at all. He's a switchable PF that can score AND we're getting Thybulle in this deal who is a top 10 defender in the league.

Isn't Harris just Wood, but with a big contract?

Harris very similar to Wood, but more nimble. I like that deal cause it basically combines Bertans+THJ's contracts into Harris and it expires a year earlier, AND the Mavs get Thybulle as a defender.

He is Wood without the P&R game, but much higher BBIQ.  He is also a more switchable defender.  He is a good quality starter on a way too big contract.  It sounds like we are trying to dump Wood for a bag of beans (probably partly due to that low BBIQ) and Timmy is a negative asset.  If you can get Harris for those two I think you do it.  Adding THybulle to the mix is a bonus.

EDIT: I say this with the caveat that if you can get any of the Nets players you do that instead.

Would you trade Wood, Green, Hardy and 2027 for Bridges and Crowder?

Keep Wood and THJ option:

McGee + Frank for Thybulle and Korkmaz

Waive Wright or Morris and sign Dragic in the buyout market.

Irving / Dragic      /Hardy
Luka / THJ           /Korkmaz
Green / Thybulle
Wood / Bullock     /Bertans
Maxi / Powell

You don't even need to waive either of them. Silva expires and they have an open roster spot.

Interesting that there's no such commitment to Cam Johnson.

Welp, there goes that idea. Steep price, imo.

Thats a crap ton of picks, but can't say they haven't been angling for Crowder all year.

Does the Bucks have a TPE?  Do they need to include a player back?
