How about Hardy for Naz Reid?  Minny can't agree on an extension and will lose him in FA.

Look on the bright side, guys! We still have THJ, Dwight Powell, Bertans, McGee, Frank, and Bullock to root for!!!1!!111!11!111!!!!!

We could still get OG or Siakam this summer. Any team we trade with for a player like that would’ve wanted DFS included too

Wonder if they go all in with another move before Thursday.

I would of held my nose if it was Din, Bullock and that first.   Even with the huge question marks.   Maybe we could have sent off Javele too.

I just hate giving up DFS.  He is a championship role player.  Those are tougher to find than you think.   If you keep him, at least in theory you see DFS, Green, Maxi as your three wing defenders.   Maybe you find another one and you can start seeing the formation of a contender, if things go right.

Now there is a massive hole with DFS gone.   Even with Green's real good level of play.    That spot will be tough to fill.

I just hate rooting for teams where it is not just basketball.  Sure, these guys are people and they deserve to have their opinions.  But it is always something with Kyrie.

I am also worried about our style of play.   Luka will need to change his play style.   Kyrie will not be happy in the Jalen/Din role.

For me, losing Jalen was probably the first step in eventually losing Luka.   This is another big one.

I am a Mavs fan, so I will base my opinions on the team and Kyrie on the floor.  I won't make excuses for Kyrie though.

Just a fabulous scorer...but

Kyrie was happy to defer to KD and to Harden when he was there.  I wouldn't worry about fit.  Luka is also happy to defer and is probably happy to get some weight off his back.

Mavs paid a steep price, can't argue that.

Need to make another deal for a really good offball wing/big now to make up for losing DFS. Lost one of the best wing offensive rebounders in the league and all those hustle plays DFS was known for. Someone that makes a similar impact without having the ball in their hands.

Needs to be.   But Dallas isn't the type of FO who can think two steps ahead.  They really need another wing defender, i think.   One that can rebound too.   Maybe in that 6'8 to 6'9 range.   Pretty big PF hole right now.

So? What does that matter? He´s a player, not the GM or an roster-building expert. Not that we have one in this organisation.

LeBron James once told Pat Riley that Erik Spoelstra that he is an awful coach he should fire.

I just wonder what that trade needs to be.   Do you trade picks for Poetl?   Could you keep Wood?   They need more plus defenders if they want to play the way Kidd wants to.

Dallas needs to be real good at scouting and uncover cheap talent if this has any way of working imo.

We got Markieff Morris for that.

At first I was relieved that we didn't include Josh Green. Then it dawned on me that 1) this trade shows how poor of a negotiator Nico is, and 2) we need more moves. Me when Green is traded away:

If by some miracle we keep Josh, he'll get a lot of great minutes as the second ballhandler when Kyrie sits with his hijinx.

It’s a players league. Besides Luka is the smartest guy in the room if he’s chatting with Mark and Kidd

I just hope Mavs have an idea what the 2027 pick can bring you. Together with Wood, McGee, Powell, THJ or Bertans.

Well duh, there is literally nothing else left. I think it´s probably going to be THJ/Green/Hardy for Harris/Bamba.

I hope we trade Josh so you can feel like I do right now.

Burn all assets and contend for 2-3 years. Jump ship and do it again. Riley wasn´t having it.

Trying really hard to create the least likeable team in league history...

This board is hilarious, this move showed they very much value Josh Green. Don’t foresee us including him for Mo Bamba…lol

He was with the Lakers for a bit when Kidd was there.  So relax...Kidd feels confident in his game Smile

What does it matter?  Did you read?  The question was whether this would hurt or help Luka stay.  How does doing what Luka wants not help?
