If Dame goes anywhere, he's going to want to win and I think he'd do his best to fit in. He's not in his early 20s and trying to establish himself. I don't think he'd have any problem becoming a second option to Luka and I know Luka wouldn't have any problem deferring to Dame as he's done so with much, much lesser players. His age, recent injury history and contract size are troubling. Can you put enough around the pairing to go all-in now?
Just offering up a better starting point for the trade idea. I don't have a lot of feelings on Collins as I don't watch a lot of Hawks basketball. He's never really popped out during the Mavs matchups. I know he has had a run-in with PEDs and has seemingly been in trade rumors the last three years. Not terribly concerned about the Wood/Collins fit for a few reasons. We don't know Wood's long term outlook with the team and at this point, talent acquisition is more important than fit. I guess I do have concern about the potential of spending that much money at the 4/5.

But, does that do Dallas much good? Are we starting Wood/Collins? Three man 4/5 rotation of Wood/Collins/Maxi? I think I’d rather find a way to get involved with Vanderbilt than Collins.
