I would say the SD + Luka minutes are not working in large part due to the starting lineup they threw out there for the first month of the season.  Luka + DFS is -.1, Luka + Bullock is -.4, Luka + McGee is -8.7.  The Luka + SD minutes are trending better without McGee and less Bullock.

I'm curious what the numbers are when both Luka and Dinwiddie are off the court.  My guess is they would be terrible (we did have that one Kemba night).  If we are sending out Dinwiddie, it better be for somebody that can run an offense, and even then we still need somebody better than Wright to be our third playmaker.

Luka + SD are indeed +6 with Bullock/McGee off the floor in 300 minutes. But because the offensive output is insane, and the defense is still very bad without them.

McGee is such a weird case, because his defensive numbers ain't even looking bad despite Kidd playing more drop coverage. But he is straight up the best Luka defender in the league, sinking the offense to worst in the league material.

Luka + McGee pairing sitting on a 102.04 ORtg and a 110.25 DefRtg. Thats close to best defense in the league and might be close to worst offense of the last 10 years in the NBA. Even the biggest tanking teams have a hard time to achieve a 100 ORtg for a season. Bruh
I think McGee is the classic case of a player who has no jumper that doesn't really work with Luka. Lane clogging is bad for Luka. If you can't figure out how to deal with it.

Diamond Powell is an enigma / 8th World Wonder to work with Luka despite no jumper. If i am sitting in the Mavs front office, i would be pretty hesistant to trade for a big with bad shootings numbers in the future.

I would think thats garbage time. And the Cavs game where Luka + SD haven't played.

The fact that the Mavs managed to play a good to great defensive game with the starting corner stones Kemba + Wood, doesn't do the Luka / SD duo any favors concerning the defensive centered discussion 

Holding the Cavs to 100 pts in an OT game. If Green plays in that game, i guess they might even win that one. Because the Mavs didn't really survive the Hardy/Pinson minutes sadly. Green missed 3 out of the 4 Luka rest games btw. Which prolly wasn't helping either to win a no Luka game.
