Y'all do realize Orlando Magic were 20-31 last year and still made the playoffs at 42-40? Yeah, they aren't pushing the panic button (if ever) this early in the season. Same with the Bulls, anything is possible in the East.
Gordon is an above average starter at age 24 with versatility and 2-way upside. His contract is a bargain and won't run out until 2022. Why in the world would ORL dump him for 2 bench players and a late first? That does nothing for them. If that's all it takes then every team in the NBA will be on the phone.
They will squeeze out everything they can out of Gordon's contract until he becomes an expiring or trade him for a king's ransom, which we cannot provide.
Just because teams are "bad" doesn't mean they have to get rid of all their good players so they can "tank," which guarantees nothing with the new lottery rules.
