SHEESH LUKA WHAT A SPIN

Dinwiddie and Brunson have been MIA.

Luka has been incredible.

Defense has been awful.

3 fouls, no?

This is the perfect series for his resume.

Phoenix letting Luka get his. He gets his anyway. But outside of Maxi, they're shutting out everyone else.

Luka 35 shot games incoming.  And unfortunately it’s all they have right now.  Incomplete grade for JB because of the fouls but it didn’t exactly look promising while he was out there.  Dinwiddie being a big time negative is becoming more of a playoff trend than outlier.

Nothing Mavs can do at the 5.  That’s a roster issue that can’t be corrected right now.  Powell is a mess and Maxi is lighting it up but he can’t stop Ayton…and shouldn’t have to be asked to.

The sins of the past (roster building wise) may just be too much to overcome against a team as solid as the Suns.

Save for some timely shots and the closeout game in Utah, Spencer has mostly shrunk in the playoffs.   Jalen in foul trouble so I'm hesitant to be critical.  Need more from God King.

Phoenix is not just a clutch team...
They CLOSE EVERY QTR!

They are disciplined and poised and barring an unforeseen injury are looking like the best team in the league.

This will be a sweep. Luka will average 40 a game or whatever, but it won’t matter.

God King has his hands full guarding Booker. He's not looking to score.

This was why they were fighting desperately for the 3 seed

Mavs are typically a good 3rd quarter team. They could use one right now! Lot of things went the Suns way and the Mavs are still within striking distance. God-mode Luka with some more help, and we’re in a dog fight.

I don't think he'll get the this playoffs, but he has shown flashes of driving ability and play making.   He just needs to get his confidence up and be a little better with his decision making.  I expect that from him next season.

Suns are really good.   As shown, it's hard to play them from behind and  even more so being down games in a series.  This is such a vastly superior team to Utah and as predicted, Ayton/McGee  weren't going to let Dallas get away with the same game plan.

Suns are good, a chemistry and cohesion unlike any team in the NBA......BUT they are not going to keep shooting 64%.

Knees should be jerkin. Brunson+Dinwiddie have shat the bed. We have no inside presence. If they don't pull their weight then it'll never work.

I don’t think it’s necessarily knee jerk to acknowledge that the first half of basketball illustrated the different talent levels of these two rosters.

2nd half adjustments, then game 2 adjustments, and so on…impossible to draw full conclusions from 24 minutes about how this series plays out.

But more than fair to say PHX has a significantly better roster once you get past Luka.  Hopefully JB finds a rhythm and avoids fouls in the second half so we can see if our #2 can tilt that imbalance a little more in the Mavs favor
