I agree with this to some degree, but there are not that many guys out there that I seriously consider giving up my 27 and 29 picks for, and I don't think Beal is one of them. I think he is kind of overrated and will likely cost more than he is actually worth.
Also, this does not feel like a desperate team. It feels like a team that is slowly getting better (despite some significant offseason failures) and needs one more quality good fitting piece (and an owner willing to spend the tax) to be a contender.
