Ah -- interesting. Yes, I believe that the RFA rights in his case would only kick in at the end of a contract with 3 years or under. But if the contract doesn't have an option and is simply non-guaranteed (requiring that he be waived), that would indeed negate their ability to make him a RFA. Thanks for the clarification.
In that case, Dallas just has to make Brunson so happy and successful that he'd be crazy to leave.
