JB is definitely talented on the offensive side of the game, but I worry about his defense at starter minutes. 

And like @dynamicalVoid and others have said, we need to see if his offense is going to hold up in a long playoff series against a team that has big, defensive guards to throw at him.

Totally agree. Brunson is basically the only one that knows how to punish the opponent if they focus too much on Luka. And is really excellent against weaker defensive opponents. The key for his longterm future will be if he can be a good defender.
