The refs didn’t make the Mavs turn it over 22 times (versus 11 for the Lakers) or shoot under 70% from the line. The Mavs basically choked. It wasn’t the refs. All the way through the second half I was in disbelief that the Mavs could play so horribly and still be winning. I had a funny feeling the ragged play would catch up to them. And it did. It’s the same in any team sport. If you turn the ball over a lot more than your opponent, you lose. This team has a roster of point guards, they should know how to take care of the ball. When you also throw in the gagging at the free throw line, that was a ridiculous performance.
