He seems like a nice prospect. He also shot 40% from 3 in his last 2 years in college. Looks to be able to handle the ball, get into the lane, and pass a little bit looking at highlights. Solid two way signing.

I was just about to say...

To me he's done more than Terry has done already just based on his summer league highlights. Even more of a reason to move on from him as it looks like this dude fills the same role.
14x All-Star, 12x all-NBA, 1x MVP, 1x Finals MVP, 1 NBA Championship: Dirk Nowitzki, the man, the myth, the legend.

Better 2-way candidate than Hinton (who also still has not been picked up by any team)

This guy is an older prospect, 5-year college player who will be 24 in January so it's expected that he's more polished than Green or Terry. Good guard to have for Frisco

Interesting that Onu was waived. I guess one of the vet guards we worked out will get the last training camp spot. Who ya got? I say Isaiah Thomas.

I was a little disappointed in Onu release, but he is not even close to being an NBA player.   Hopefully they were able to build a connection with him and get him on the G-league team...even if he is not Mav property.  He is a few years off though....even if his percentage of making it to the NBA is pretty small.   It certainly appears he was cut loose to bring in a veteran on a non guaranteed deal.   I have no idea if I would prefer Stephenson or Thomas.  Probably either would jump on a non guaranteed deal.

I find it interesting Hinton has been radio quiet on twitter and intstagram since his release.  It is a tough business.  Spend most of your summer in Dallas getting to know the staff and then after a poor summer league your basketball future is in limbo.  You have to keep fighting though.  The league is filled with guys who just kept on grinding.   Hinton is also a long shot to make the NBA, but I will be keeping an eye on him as I think there is a roadmap where he makes it as a pro eventually.
