realistic plan to salvage our offseason

Our primary needs remain a secondary ballhandler and rebounding. Would these two moves address that to your satisfaction :
1] sign Reggie Jackson. 2/20M would be my max for him .
2] roll Larry Nance into our 10.8M exception. He is @ 10.7M

Would you do this, do it differently or not at all?

I'd be happy with that, but I'm not sure we have the money to do that. If we do, I'm in.

I like Reggie Jackson but since we're operating over the cap we'd need to SnT for him. His 2/20 deal would fit well in our TPE but I don't think he can be had for free.

Same thing with Nance. I remember around the TDL this year the Cavs took a lot of calls on Nance and turned down multiple packages, with some even including future picks. If they were that high on him 6 months ago there is no chance they'll give him away for free into the Mavs TPE.

Not sure where the Mavs can go from here especially since it's taking so long for this Dragic trade to happen
