I probably am making it too black and white (hard not to in these debates) so that's valid.
But, Rubio was never a max contract guy (not sure Parker was, either) and Parker might not have been a great shooter, but he was waaaaay good enough as a shooter to be a threat. And he was a GREAT midrange pull-up shooter. All pick and roll guards are, and he was one of the best of them for many years.
I will agree that if Fox learns to play the pick and roll game as a scorer (*cough* Brunson already has) at a level anywhere near Parker's then his trajectory will change quite a bit.
