Everyone agrees that KP's front court partner is the area most need of improvement, especially in lieu of a much bigger restructuring of the roster, which might or might not even be possible.
Personally, I'm with @"omahen" and think that another 4 to add with Kleber is the right way to go, and RoCo would be adequate although not ideal, maybe.
But, it seems like Kidd/Harrison/whomever are all-in on this idea that KP should start games at the 4, which means that from their perspective the needed addition is probably a 5. With that as a logical building block, I'd say Nurkic is probably closer to the type of acquisition they'll want to make soon, and that Kleber off of the bench is more than fine at that position. Just a hunch though.
I don't hate either player, but it seems to me that Powell/WCS is the part of the rotation that most glaringly needs to be upgraded for the current approach to work. Again, it wouldn't be my approach, but it seems to be what they think is best, and if it gets more consistent health out of Porzingis, that is a benefit worth chasing.
We need guys that do things our current guys do not do meaning, I am out on Covington because he is the same guy as Kleber.
My Choices after the latest developments around the NBA:
Yusuf Nurkic = Center
Marvin Bagley = Power Forward
If Lilliard is moved, Nurkic could be a buyout candidate. I assume the Mavs could be a likely target since he is close to Luka.
Based off the tea leagues these are the guys the Mavs will likely part with:
Willie Cauley-Stein
Moses Brown
Tre Burke
Dwight Powell
Josh Green (Possibly but I would keep him)
*THJ (He should be on the list but likely isn't)
