Luka/JB/Spence/Bullock/Green/THJ for the two guard spots. Is there still room for Pinson and/or Frankie? The salaries are minimal, so do they stay around for continuity?

I don't think thinking in terms of 'guard spots' or some of the traditional depth charts people have tossed up (i.e., PG/SG/SF/PF/C) matches up well with how we've seen Kidd approach things (or with Nico's moves to date with the two seemingly on the same page as far as roster philosophy goes).

Assuming everyone is healthy, Kidd will have 2 of Luka, JB, and Dimwiddie on the floor at all times, so those 3 eat up the '2 creators' position.

Wood/Maxi/Powell will eat up all the 'big' minutes (probably in that order)

That leaves 96 minutes/2 spots that will go primarily to DFS and Bullock with THJ as back-up followed by spot minutes for Bertans and Maxi depending on match-ups.

Green and Frankie get development minutes primarily carved out of that same group with maybe a few from the 'creators' as well depending on how their development goes as well as filler for the inevitable injury absences. I guess Pinson falls here too at the very end of the rotation.


(That's with no further roster moves, although I think that's unlikely. Assuming reports that their next priority, after signing JB, is another 3-and-D wing, are still valid then I think they must be planning to switch Hardaway in the above schema so you get a core 8-man rotation of

with Powell as big man back up and Bertrans, Green, Frankie, and Pinson as backups everywhere else.)
