I'm slowly getting onboard the Turner bandwagon. I went back and watched a few Pacers games the other day, and he was more mobile that I expected.
Oddly enough, the last game he played this year was against Phoenix. They primarily had him in drop coverage, but he was also able to aggressively hedge and recover to his man. The few times he ended up isolated against Paul or Booker he moved his feet well and contested pullup jumpers. Even though he's no Kleber on the perimeter, it didn't feel like he would be out of place in the Mavs system.
I do think his 3 point shooting is a bit overrated. He hasn't been that great from the corners at all. He just turned 26 so maybe there's still time to improve, especially with higher quality looks.
As far as what the deal would be, I think you're looking at Powell+Green+26 at a minimum. This seems to work from the numbers I'm seeing, although it's extremely close. Shouldn't be a problem to throw in another small expiring if needed to make it work. But I think Indy would likely demand a future protected 1st as well. I'm kind of on the fence about that given his injury history and the new contract Dallas would have to give him after next season.
Don't see any way we dupe them into taking Bertans. His contract is just too awful. Maybe in another year.
