Given the excitement after the last two wins in DAL, is there a success level (short of the championship) where you try to keep the team together rather than sell of parts looking for upgrades?

I'm thinking of how ATL had the unexpected run to the ECF and basically brought everyone back, only to make it in as an 8th seed and lose badly in the first round. Worried that recent success might make it emotionally difficult to try and upgrade. I think that's an issue with Cuban getting personally close to the players, he needs the emotional buffer to make the right personnel decisions.

I could 100% seeing the Mavs making the decision ATL did last year: "We are so young that the most progress we will make will be by internal growth and development."

I personally think the Mavs need to make some significant moves still. I think bringing back the band would be a mistake.
