Orlando has basically zero need for THJ. They are rebuilding and will not aim for something soon. They also have young Suggs and Hampton at the position that they will want to develop instead of playing a vet. Rebuilding team is taking on money for assets.

I can see POR having interest in THJ. He's out for the season now but they aren't trying to win games. Theoretically THJ gives you 75% of McCollum so he can be used as a replacement for him next year with a healthy Dame. They open up a ton of cap-space with moving off of Nance and taking on THJ's declining contract too and go all in next season.

Should it not work then THJ's contract is a good trade chip the final two years for a contender. 

All I'm saying is it makes a ton of sense for both parties.
