I think the Mavs need to make smart small moves.
Walker/Knox for Bullock would be such a move. We are starving for some play-making. Knicks only know good Bullock.
Kemba is averaging 13/3/3 with 42% 3pt shooting. Perfectly fine numbers for a bench PG. Yeah his defense is bad, but once again the character assassination police is out in full force. Our bench is full of defensive guards, but we need a 3rd play-maker.
Smart GMs actually want to get in on these hated guys (at the right price), not the overhyped media darlings. Guys like Randle, Lavine, DeRozan, Valanciunas or Markkanen, that get blamed for shortcomings out of their responsibilities.
Knox is a RFA and barely playing, but he´s also shooting 42% from three.
They want Powell. Throw him in as well.
Not only does it improve our salary cap flexibility, but I´d bet a lot of money it would balance our rotation nicely and bring out better line-ups.
