I agree with you on Terry from the aspect of expectations for this year.  Mavs not wanting to trade him for Dragic gives me some hope for his future though.

I'm not really feeling the DSJ idea.  He has some growing up to do and playing overseas might be just what the doctor ordered.

Perhaps him bouncing around the league is a wake up call enough? There's no doubt the guy is talented and still incredibly athletic. He never really got an opportunity in NYK after thibs was hired, and he had some personal tragedy's that cost him time on the court himself. 

He seemed to have improved his 3pt shot in Detroit which shows a willingness to work on his weaknesses. 

I understand the hesitation though, but we are talking about the backup's backup here. I don't think DSJ, should he sign here, would get more than 10mpg. I do think that DSJ would do more in 10mpg than Terry which I guess is what I'm trying to argue.

Plus I just want to move off of Burke's salary.
