"____ just different" and "____ built different" have become meaningless NBA platitudes over the past few years. I think the implied comparison is to everyone, everywhere, as if to say "we're special."
I could be wrong, but I took the statement to just mean that he thinks they're improving and starting to do some of the things he wants them to do.
Sounds like his take is that when he started working with these guys they weren't playing with movement and they were playing more for themselves instead of their teammates. He sees progress towards how he wants them to play, with movement and sharing.
