Love that idea by saving the MLE and creating flexibility with ability to trade picks again!

hmm...that is interesting.  I just hope we aren't done.  We feel really limited right now.

I think there is another way this may be done (though I'm getting a little tired, so check me on this).

Brown and Hinton are splitting the rMLE or most of it (they fit and can be done last so they don't count against cap right now).  BTW, this might explain why Brown is reported at less than the BAE amount.

Bullock is coming through space.

I think this leaves really close to the room needed to do Powell/Burke for Dragic using the remaining space (recall those two don't trade match Dragic based on the $5mm+$100k rule).

I think you'd have to pull the QO on Hinton for about 5 seconds and then immediately sign him using part of the rMLE.

Powell/Burke as the outgoing solves some of the roster glut at two positions.

KP/WCS/Boban/Moses
DFS/Maxi
Bullock/Brown/Hinton
THJ/Dragic/Green
Luka/Brunson/Terry

To me, that's a balanced team.  I think we're a better team than last year.  Hopefully, we can acquire Dragic for Powell and Burke

I think it is far more likely that the trade would be Powell and DFS

I hate the idea of going under the cap to get Dragic when it can be just as easy to go over and still keep the TPE as an asset.

And if we're playing "just the tip" with NY to get them to S/T Bullock into the TPE, I'd offer the Brunson for the 2023 back.  Brunson at $1.8m has more value than a lottery protected 1st two years away.  Flipping Bullock back is no biggie for them.

Mavs considering other options?

Someone squeezing them for something they don't want to cough up?

Who knows...

I checked out some Raptors twitter about an hour ago and they're all drooling over Powell, if you can believe that. I'm pretty confident it will get done.

Also the number of dribbles each one can take before they pass or shoot, or else a turnover is going to happen.

Edit:
Sterling Brown can actually dribble, not very good handles, but decently for an SG.

I have to admit, I'm raising my hopes up again for Collins. If the Mavs can get Collins, then Nico gets a big fat A even if they make the binary mistake of going into the season with KP.

Man, don't do this to yourself.
