Cool to be happy about them failing - I can understand that. But, good or bad from our individual POV's, this would represent the Mavs getting beaten in free agency again, and that will absolutely be the narrative.
I respectfully disagree that "it seems pretty clear that [signing Kyle Lowry] is what [the Mavs] were hoping for."
Why is it clear? Because some Einsteins of the Internet told you so? Or because Mark Cuban (or one of his employees) made an unequivocal public statement to that effect?
Why don't we take a few deep breaths and reserve judgment for a little while?
