We trade Powell + asset either as part of S&T or to a 3rd team (it does not matter so probably get a better deal with a different team). That would be Lowry + THJ + room. This would be a good offseason. That Lowry contract is more than I want to pay, but in two years we could use his expiring as salary filler for a big trade when we have access to our picks again.
On option 4, we are not required to retain THJ. That would be a deal we work out, and his market may not be more than 4/60. We could start that around 13. That means we could afford to pay someone roughly 4/100. There has been no smoke, but I would love it if we downshift from Lowry to a big offer to Ball. A Ball/THJ offseason would be a success.
How is that not Option 1?
