It helps SAC, but it kinda sucks for the Mavs. You've given your cap room to SAC so they can keep Holmes. I don't get it.
That would be your one big transaction in free agency. It's under the cap. THJ would be gone (replaced by Hield). As much as I hate the DP contract, that part looks bad, since Bagley is probably a much worse player to have. You would be left with a chunk of spendable room about full MLE size (in the 9-12M range), and the rMLE (about 5M), to get what you can with those.
I would hope they can do way better.
