2.  How certain are you that Lowry at $90,000,000 for three years is such an earth-shakingly fantabulous deal that the thought of missing out on it is worth all your hand-wringing and über-angst?

Answering this is like shooting fish in a barrel. Because of the combination of the Mavs precedent of the past twenty years, Nico's inexperience, and the "spoken-for" status of many of the main free agents, I think it's pretty transparently obvious that there's no even minimally acceptable plan B. In the Mavs' final pre-Luka-max opportunity, that's apocalyptically bad. 

If I were a betting man, I would bet the farm that 3/90 for Lowry pistol-whips the living turd out of what happens if that doesn't happen. But as a Mavs fan, I hope I'm massively wrong.

So, in your opinion, there are only two possibilities for the future of the Dallas Mavericks:

1.  The Mavericks will sign free agent Kyle Lowry; or

2.  "Apocalyptically bad" shit will happen.
