NO didn't really have to create cap room to do a S&T of Ball for Lowry unless it was just to create the threat of an outright signing (and it doesn't hurt their future budget). If Toronto gets Ball over the cap, they also have the MLE to add someone like Theis. I think that makes more sense for them than $18mm for Holmes. The wild card is still Siakam.
Let's say Dinwiddie to Washington, Paul stays in Phoenix and Conley stays in Utah. The secondary creator market is getting thin.
