I tend to get attached to our young prospects, so I may go overboard.  Jalen is a little different.  He is good.   In fact, I think he may be more important if we get Lowry.  He can settle into a 22-25 minute player and take some load off Lowry, if he signed here.   In two years, he may be able to fill what Lowry provides.  That is asking a lot because Jalen is more limited physically, but he made a big jump this past year.  Does he have another jump or a half jump left in his development.

Going back to the young prospects, I will be very disappointed if they need to move Green or Terry to free up a little room.    I know we have new leadership, but both Green and Terry were future picks when the picks were made.   Right now if you trade them, you are probably getting very little value back.    I hope we ride out the time and let them develop.  Even if a guy like Terry probably isn't going to help next year.

I like Brunson as a player, but I have read people thinking he can develop into a FVV or Lowry.  I don't see him ever getting to that point.  His defense is bad and has never improved.  He will never be an elite defender, and right now it does not look like he will ever make it to average.  He will always be hunted in the starting unit.  Also, his offense is effective against second units, but he has a lot of issue replicating that against quality starting defenses.  This is something I could see him improving, but don't know if he will ever be elite in this area.  I feel like he will always be capped as a quality rotational player that you can't really put into the starting lineup (do to defensive limitations).  Add to that he is going to become a UFA in a year, and I could probably live with using him to dump Powell and Burke, assuming what we get with that cap space is worth it.
