Of course Collins might be able to still force them to max him.
I looked into the #s a while back and posted about it. They offered him like 90 mill before the season and his max was like 124.
I suggested that a logical deal could be a max deal but with no raises or declining deal. I was hoping maybe the Mavs could do that deal.
Seems like that might be the route they go with Collins. Logically it makes sense. You meet his market but maybe don't kill his future trade value.
