Absolutely not. Those hurdles essentially make a deal for Lauri nonexistent. CHI is overplaying their hand. Essentially they're forcing Markkanen to return on his 1 year QO deal, but in doing so they won't be able to trade him next year without his permission (and any team trading for him wouldn't get his bird rights).
Markkanen will undoubtedly leave the following year in FA and I'm sure he won't be a nice guy in the locker room either. Bulls are delusional if they want to make a deal surrounding Lauri. Reading that Fisher piece I'm walking away with the idea that they actually might not want to make any deal.
