I don't think the Mavs would want to pay Lauri anything more than 10mil a year, which is a number I pulled out from no where. I think Lauri is looking at 15mil as the floor for his services based on his QO and why he's been left out to dry so to speak this free agency.
Perhaps the Mavs can work out a convoluted 3 team trade with Chicago and Toronto.

As much as I hate WCS, he can play good defense from time to time. We hope KP turns it around but it really only leaves you maxi as a big with any kind of defensive upside. Maybe Brown but it seems like consensus on him is pretty split between "empty calories on a rebuilding team" and "potential to be a rotational guy". I also don't see Toronto giving up a 1st, protected or not. Not trying to kill your spitballs.
Could we use the TPE for LM via a S&T with Chicago?
