Yes...but doesn’t Atlanta need to be within 5 million of Maxi’s 8.7M, and 14M is barely too large for that to be legal? The goal of trying to get just Atlanta and Dallas to work out a deal is that any Collins acquisition takes away trade pieces for Dragic, so LouWill could be “that” guard. Atlanta could benefit from the TPE in your scenario, a “tip” in its own potentially.
The issue with BYC is that a max Collins would count as $28 coming into Dallas but Atlanta could only take half of that back. But the 125% trade matching still applies, which makes it really hard to balance in a 2-team trade.
I'm sure someone like DS or FG may correct me, but an example of what I think would work would look like this:
Collins to Dallas (28)
Maxi to Atlanta (9)
Powell/WCS to OKC (15)
That way Dallas sends 24 out to get 28 back (legal). Atlanta takes less than 14 back (half of Collins' new salary). And OKC would get a tip from Dallas to take money into space. Maybe that's a pick, Green, or Brunson.
