Collins has the stroke, but not the defense it seems. If Maxi is the price, then Collins isn't worth it imo. Maybe Collins and Deandre Hunter, but that's a bigger pipe dream than Collins on his own.
That is perfectly understandable. Maxi is an elite role player. He’s a good soldier, tries hard and gets along with everyone. I hear he walks old ladies across the street and rescues stray dogs too. Losing him would be painful.
The question really is where do you rank Collins. He’s not AD, Giannis or probably Zion, but how many more PF’s do you put in front of him (especially when you take age into account...Durant). Siakam? Randle? Tobias? Isn’t he in about that same class, but younger? How many more?

I feel that way about Aaron Gordon. For Collins, I'd probably include him.

Josh Green is a top 5 Mavs player...

KP for Collins + Bogdan has to be close in terms of salary.

If the Kings would just draft these folks first. I could say that about the Mavs.

RE: Orlando's desire for 2 FRPs for AG
I think this means the cost will settle at 1 FRP + young player. Everyone is playing hardball now and then they will compromise Thursday.

I think this is the representative group for Collins. Beauty in the eye of the beholder. Someone could probably stack rank this group in just about any order. Collins is younger than the rest (Sabonis is a year older and the others are 3-5 years older). I’d probably rank Grant lower. We are seeing peak Grant currently and I think Collins will be better over the next five years. Sabonis’ s lack of a 3 point shot might knock him down a little on a team with Luka.
I think there isn’t a ton of difference between Harris, Siakam and Collins (except for the whole availability thing). None can carry a team like KD or Giannis, but all make or will make close to 0-6 max money. Did I mention the whole availability thing?

Honestly I've learned to ignore most Celtics rumors. This is about the time before every deadline when Ainge leaks stories like crazy claiming he's just on the verge of a massive trade before they strangely fall apart at the last second. Remember when they were getting Turner, Oladipo, and multiple picks for Hayward? LOL right.
It could happen. But when it comes to Ainge I'll believe it when I see it. The dude is a relentless self-promoter.
