Otherwise I think investing assets and blocking playing time of still developing players that we would benefit from later is not worth it. And I do not think Lou would vastly improve our chances so I'd rather keep my cards and pass on him.

Otherwise I think investing assets and blocking playing time of still developing players that we would benefit from later is not worth it. Might be good for us valuewise. But we need that big! And there's nobody left we like. And we already signed Burke for this role, who also might be easier to handle with minutes. I know Lou Will is a legit 6th man and Burke is our 3rd guard, but both are scoring punch players.

There'd have to be an option to flip Burke into a legit WCS replacement, otherwise this weakening of our bigs would weight stronger than the upgrade of our guards.

Give me Burke over old ass Williams. Great player, but he’s just too old for this group.
The second segment of this podcast is about Sacramento, and they have some interesting opinions about Hield that don’t really jive with the narrative about him here. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ho...0500267811 @"Kammrath" your Shaq Harrison guy is still unemployed. I’m curious: would you have preferred him over Iwundu?

Shaq has small sample sizes, so it is hard to say on him....Iwundu is a proven NBA defender, that much is clear and he is younger. So I get choosing Iwundu over Shaq.....I would have taken BOTH.

Seems weird that Dallas and Houston don’t play each other for the first 2 games.
Dallas seems to be the team doing the most travelling. But I guess once you are on the jet another hour of flight time doesn’t matter much. I wonder how many favors Cuban called in for that.

"All four Broncos quarterbacks will miss Sunday's game against the Saints, after the NFL ruled out starter Drew Lock and backups Brett Rypien and Blake Bortles on Saturday as high-risk close contacts of a COVID-19 positive test, the team announced.
Lock, Rypien and Bortles were deemed close contacts to quarterback Jeff Driskel, who was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier this week. All three are asymptomatic and have consistently tested negative, according to the team." The Athletic I could see something like this happening to a NBA team. 12 day quarantines will certainly affect regular season records in the coming year, depending on schedule timing and who is affected. Deeper teams will be better off unless a mass exposure happens at a facility. Not worried about it so much as "being prepared" for the frustration. I would imagine the NBA players will have access to vaccines early on. Which is another can of worms. I am fine with them being priority since they provide entertainment to many people but I can see this whole who gets the vaccines first being a thing. Plus, there may be some players who won't take the vaccine for personal reasons. I am curious if the league will mandate the vaccine to play. Leaning that they would not do that, but you never know. |
