How long you been watching the NBA? You cheat so often, that they eventually give up and don´t call it anymore. That´s the key to every All-NBA defender and superstar.

Morez has impressed me. Only has done the little things, hasn't forced anything. Just played calm cool and collected.

Not really suprising but this almost feels like a summer league game. Players competing for minutes/roster spots and that usually results in some really ugly chucking from 3-point range.

We just can´t shoot. You can see the idea, but we always have 2-3 guys on the floor that just can´t shoot and our points total reflects it. The Rcokets role players just knock down their shots.

Preseason games are a tough watch and this is a particularly tough watch.   Offense looks pretty tough.   I am having trouble thinking where Marshall fits in.  Yeah, he can dribble but I don't like him at point guard as he doesn't really set the table for others.    No one guards him so he doesn't space the floor.  Ideally he plays when Flagg is not in the game with two other creators and does what he does best.  Although, that is obviously not what they expect signing him to a 3 year extension.

That pullup has been money so far.

Been watching, probably, longer than you've been alive. Yeah, they get to palm the ball and travel more than they used to, but they'll call it when they want to, so it's best to try and rein it in.

Cooper looks like he´ll make a leap, but boy this is rough. Biberovic and Risacher look awful and the team cannot defend the rim at all. Houston do whatever they want in the paint.

The lowest points scored in the other pre-season games today was 108. Only one team has scored less than 97 points all pre-season and we are looking like we will barely break 80. Depressing watch.

The offense looks really ragged.  No flow.   Cooper created shots for himself but they were mostly self created.  Sort of concerning considering Kyrie (maybe Sasser) are the only creators missing.

Can't tell much in preseason, but the shots they are getting are not great.

We have the Great American Hope. He´ll get away with it.

Going to tentatively blame jetlag.

Most of the shots have been okay looks, just havent fallen.

For anyone that had to set an alarm to watch this. I feel bad for you. You were better off getting your beauty sleep.

First half observation/overreaction:

Max > ZR and it’s not particularly close
Tarik isn’t a NBA level guy
Naji ‘backup guard’ is gonna be rough to watch again this year
Coop is still him
Morez will take some time
Larry off-ball is ahead of Larry on-ball

Sometime, when a big game is on the line, the refs have money on it, they make the call, and the replay shows, yeah, the traveled. Cooper has all that going for him, but this is America. It all depends on how much the ref has bet on the game.

It's more or less the stuff that we mentioned in the last few weeks/months. Lack of playmaking. Naji isn't a primary ballhandler. Flagg is more of a shot creator. Lack of point of attack defense. So far neither Risacher/Christie/Naji can keep up with the Rockets guards. Morez (to be fair, Gafford as well) looks small. Going up against Sengun and Adams is a brutal welcome to the NBA moment. Probably bigger and stronger than any player he ever faced in college.

Main thing is that despite all the claims about their offseason I haven't seen anything to suggest that Max/Risacher provide anything outside of volume 3-point shooting (not concerned about the percentages). They are struggling on defense. They aren't handling the ball. They aren't attacking closeouts.

Point Powell is the best playmaker on the floor...

Tarik definitely looks a little bit shell shocked, but I dont hate any look he's taken so far. And he just hit his first one.

Risacher and Naji have been incredibly disappointing.

Looks like Powell is on his retirement kicked in the nuts tour.   China marked off.
