Don’t read much into the schedule release. NBA is so fluid it is tough to get a read on how tough the games are. I do like starting more on the road though.
What is more Interesting who the mavs highlight on the schedule https://x.com/dallasmavs/status/20879877...67603?s=46

Maybe this is a superficial take, but I hate B2Bs. You expect the utmost effort from these guys then say "let's do it again tomorrow". So, FWIW...
Mavs Schedule shows 15 B2Bs, 7 at home and 8 away. I know these are a fact of life in the NBA, but it always seems like Obviously away games involve travel, but 4 of 7 home games also involve travel following an away game the night before. so 12 of 15 B2Bs involve travel between games. Notably, both games at POR are B2B. Of the 15 B2Bs, only 2 have the opponent also on a B2B, home games against SAS and MEM. All the remaining dates are against teams with 1-2 days rest. In fact, @ BOS (4 days), @ PHL (3 days), @ POR (8 days!) are against teams with significant rest time. The POR break is around the ASB, but DAL plays on 2/25 then goes to POR for 2/26. Also, there's an 11/22 game against UTA after playing in LA the previous night. Leave the arena for a 2 hour flight + loading/takeoff/landing + busing to the hotel in SLC + losing an hour to time zone change. Nevermind that weird stuff always seems to happen in SLC. Always feels like a programmed loss to me. I'm hopeful the youth movement will provide enough bench energy to keep the team effective in these contests.
