Trade & Free Agency 2026/2027

Throwback to one of the greatest free agency moments in history. Community (I guess it was still Fish's site) was absolutely losing it.

I was absolutely losing it. Complete meltdown mode.

Still one of the funniest tweets. Paul Pierce tweeting a picture of a rocket instead of using an emoji was/is still a legendary NBA twitter moment.

Jake Fischer said he did he hear some talk around the draft that Portland was open to listening on Scoot Henderson.

I know you're not a fan of this particular idea, and believe me, I get that his first few years have been super weird. It's faaaar from a guaranteed to be successful addition, but...I like this one. No idea if Dallas even has interest (I'd trust Schmitz on this one, either way), but if so I'd be into it if the price was right.

Kan’t Play.

He did have a nice twenty or so game run after he returned from injury last year, but I'm not sure I'd give up much of anything to see if those shooting splits were a fluke or not.

Free agent sharpshooter Tim Hardaway Jr. will be signing with the Miami Heat to provide the organization with the spacing needed for Giannis Antetokounmpo, league sources tell me.

He had a few pretty good games in the playoffs, too (and some bad ones, to be fair).

Agree with you on the price. It would need to be pretty reasonable.

I see the vision. I see the reclamation idea.

But he doesn't solve our "creation" issues, and he can't really shoot. So I just don't see it. I'm not against it. If its Martin+2030 GSW FRP for Scoot and 2nds. I'm okay with it.

So far Chris Haynes has been faster than Shams.

Hardaway agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million deal with the Heat, sources said. Miami officials finalized the deal with Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tonight.

I wouldn't throw in the fake GSW FRP as it might be useful as a cherry on top for other deals.

Vet min is 3.8 mil a year.

Significantly more than vet min.

But the tax-MLE is 6mil. Which still doesnt line up and I thought needs to be at least 2 years long.

Sources: LeBron James will be patient and open minded in selecting his next destination but the priority is having a realistic chance at competing for a championship. He remains committed to playing at the highest level.

Miami has BaE available, I think

But it makes no sense for them to use it this year unless they clear more salary. Not enough space under the apron to use both MLE + BAE.

Stein says the Marcus Sasser trade is the only confirmed bit he has heard this morning.

He puts them as THE leading trade suitor and he expects it to be consummated at some point.

He'll be right when Cade is in Dallas.

[Gozlan] Miami Heat salary cap situation after signing Tim Hardaway Jr. His $6.5M salary will go into the mid-level exception. They have $8.5M remaining from it but can probably use closer to $7 million due to their first apron hard cap proximity after presumably signing Ryan Conwell.
