The simple answer is this board is not a single entity.  It has many contributors with many differing opinions.  Given how much you complain about it, not sure why you are still here?

Yeah, but I'm greedy and it's useful as a future "first" for other trades.  Plus we'd have to extend KL and that ain't going to be cheap.

Not sure it's germane, but I DO have a big extension to negotiate soon for my role around here. I'm happy to know you're aware and planning for it a little.

If the KL thing happens (the trade, not Killer leaving), the big question isn't the package as much as it is the extensions.  

I'd hope the outgoing package wouldn't be that strong.  Its not like Kawhi drew that much compensation when he was traded to Toronto as a soon to be FA when he was much younger.  PJ/Klay/AJ and the GSW Fake first is easy.  Caleb instead of AJ...OK.  Christie outgoing from a guard starved team makes no sense.  So, it really comes down to Lively or not.  There are enough outlets reporting this that it feels like at least smoke if not embers.  

Back to the Extensions...Do Kyrie and Kawhi split $90mm?  $80mm?  How many years.  There is a number where cap room occurs in 2027 instead of 2028.  Are there any ring chasing guards who want to join the team this summer?  Middleton would seem to make some sense off the bench if Kawhi was here.  Who else? Was this planned?  Part of why we drafted Morez?

The Warriors are attempting to trade for Anthony Davis, per @KevinOConnor.

Jimmy Butler’s $56.8M expiring contract would need to be included in any deal, but the Wizards have been vocal about wanting to keep Davis in Washington and would likely have zero interest in Butler.

My sources might be a little dated, but I'm hearing that Kawhi will sign with the clippers if they can find a way to trade for Paul George.
