2026 NBA draft thread

That's actually kinda cool. Better for financial reasons, and maybe they'll get something for a pick that's usually not a spot teams want to trade into...

I mean, I'm all for getting assets. If this is a straight trade back, PHX doesn't have a 2nd till 47. Which is too far.

Phoenix is trading with Dallas to select Arizona product Koa Peat, sources say.

We were so close to a good night and now we finished draft night like a Fidel Castro. Why not take the chance on Peat yourself.

What are the Mavs getting for that? This was the key asset acquired for Luka. How awful.

I mean aren't you the king of value and accumulating assets?

Mavs just did that. (I hope lets see the details)

Financial reasons. We have like 100M in cap space in 12 months.

I can´t believe this.

Maybe we'll get a future first. /greedy

Weird trading out but the last thing the Mavs need is another forward.

Got to be honest, after spending months on this draft i leave tonight underwhelmed. Does it mean anything or do I know anything? Probably not. Though I leave with more questions than answers

I can´t believe this.

I just mean that early 2nd contracts are better than late first contracts.

I don't like it if the best asset in return is 47, obvs. But, 30 is one of the least tradable (maybe THE least) in the whole draft. If they actually got something good, respect.

I said the AD trade was bad the day it was made and now we gave up the weak 1st rounder we got with it? Good grief.

Trading the 30th for a Suns future first would be good asset management.

VERY GOOD. Too much to hope for I think, but I'd be ecstatic.

I mean there were only forwards left.

And they were all going to get guaranteed contracts. A trade out and picking up an asset isn't the dumbest choice.

I liked Evans a lot there, but maybe he'll be there tomorrow.

Stein says 47 plus two future seconds.

Wait...we might be getting Sergio

So what’s the deal number 47 & future first?
