If you watched the NBA in the 80s and 90s, it feels even dirtier cheering for Detroit.

Wolves playoff magic wore off.    I think the last three years they were not one of the top 2 teams in the west but they made two finals.  I think this years run was probably closer to what they are.    They have an interesting offseason.    They are a very good team but clearly they are looking up to OKC and the Spurs.   How can they close that gap?   I really liked Shannon jr.   I think him and Ayo (if resigned) can be a nice rotation.   They also have a mid to late pick that may be perfect for a point guard.   Then you will hear about them making a big move.  They will have some very big decisions to make although Connelly has shown he is not afraid to be aggressive.

I imagine their two offseason objectives are to

1.  get a PG
2.  get Julius Randle off the team

They need a CP3 type player. I would be surprised if they didn't trade for a veteran PG.

[Krawczynski] The Timberwolves feel good about the core of Edwards, McDaniels, Reid and Joan Beringer going forward. The pathway to significant playing time for Beringer likely resides in breaking up the three-man big rotation of Gobert, Randle and Reid.

That's the MIN reporter I believe.

Most disagree with Edwards going over to the Spurs bench
shaking hands with them with 8 minutes left in the game.

Wouldn’t Kyrie be the one piece to make them a serious competitor? Is there a package that we’d be interested in or would it be a three way deal?

Yea, I think Kyrie would make sense for them.  They need a #2.  Kyrie is a great #2.  Not sure if the teams align on a trade.

Wemby has the 2nd most blocks (41) in the 1st ten games of his first playoff series
behind Dikembe Mutombo (62) since blocks were started being recorded in 1974.

Every Ausar Thompson block in the playoffs. He's an amazing defender.

Reads the defense and adjusts the play call on the fly. Love stuff like this. Worst athlete on the floor. One of the most impactful players in the series. Obviously mostly about his shooting but also about his awareness and IQ.

The fallout from this Game 7 could be massive for Cleveland.

"One of the biggest mistakes you can make in the NBA right now is to give a non-max player a max deal," a West executive said. "In the old system, you could bet on high-end talent players. Now losing a big bet can derail your entire roster." "With the new apron rules, it might come back to bite you, and it's just another example of how the CBA crushes team building."
