Luka is a decade into this league and still hasn't understood that his step back 3s are the worst part of his game, and that he'll be much more difficult to guard if he just focused on his midrange game.

That doesn't mean low BBIQ.  You can't just talk in extremes.  Both Wemby and Luka have high BBIQ. It's just that they've grown up in a generation where every kid wants to shoot that 3.  As long as they're not overdoing it, it's ok.

Its the BBIQ. Also if only wemby understand that he should receive the ball in the elbow or  in the post  than asking for the ball at the 3pt line he’ll be in a much much better position to score.

There is one play last night where he hit that mid range fade away after a spin move against gobert. That should be his go to move, he can use that middy fade away whether on a face up, low post or hight post. He’ ll be unstoppable with that shot. He is a good freethrow shooter so he should also be good at mid range. If he has a high BBIQ he should know how to use his height advantage without banging bodies in the paint( which he doesnt like).

Luka doesnt have much of a problem on his offense. He’s a 30pt scorer.

I don't want to argue on this.  We just disagree.  People  casually use the term BBIQ without even understanding what it fully means.  Pros are playing a fast paced game and making instantaneous decisions, identifying offensive and defensive rotations.  You can see the guys whose brains are keeping up with game speed and making great decisions vs ones who are not like say a Jaxson Hayes.

Wemby doesn't have a BBIQ issue.  Maybe he can play slightly more to his strengths, but that's not a BBIQ issue.  Also while you are glazing on Dirk, let's not forget there were many instances during Dirk's career where post game threads were about us fans being frustrated with Dirk for not being assertive enough.  If someone wanted to nitpick and go to extremes, that's also a BBIQ issue not knowing that he gives his team the best shot to win a game by being much more assertive.

Every single player can be criticized for something or other.   Wemby as well.  BBIQ is a loaded term though.  As I said, we completely disagree.

Completely agree - just realized I left out part of what I was going to say in my original post, that since we can't be guaranteed 100% health then I'd take Flagg because I don't trust the longevity of 7'4" guys.

Im not arguing. Its just my opinion. I watch wemby a lot and he’s already on his 3rd season. Well if that is your opinion so be it.

Cade embarrassingly throwing the ball away on three straight possessions, it made Harden believe he was MJ.

Yeah, that's un-Cade-like. He led them to come back down 16 pts. I mean, he's susceptible to turnovers. All players who have the ball consistently are. I just think he was fatigued coming down the stretch. He's relied upon so much. Looking for a bounce-back game from him on Monday. Detroit is still in the driver's seat, and can Harden, or someone else, come through again for Cleveland?

Listen, I realize you're a Cooper fan, as you labeled yourself as such. I think Cooper can be one of the best players in the NBA, eventually. But dismissing Wemby to enhance your narrative about Flagg is just wrong. Wemby does things that are unfathomable for someone 7'5. If he can stay healthy, Wemby is one of one and can be one of the greatest to ever play the game. He's just 22 and has already changed the game on both sides of the ball with his smarts and athleticism. Teams have to be aware of his presence at all times, as he's an excellent help defender and under the basket as well.

The health is a concern though with what he went through last year.  I am just happy we have one of the few other young players, who is legitimately looked at as a cornerstone and potential great, even if he is not Wemby (Who is? There won't be another 7'6" player anytime soon who not only plays hard on both ends,  but takes so many big shots late in the game and makes them).

From where this franchise was, before the lottery gods decided to show some sympathy to the battered fanbase, I will take it.

Make it make sense. Just like when Wilt Chamberlain came to the NBA in the late 50's, nobody had ever seen anyone like him, and he immediately changed the game. And he proceeded to set and hold just about every NBA record there is.

Going to be awesome when OKC gets the #1 pick today and we can all make fun of them on how they won't be able to keep everyone.

I think the Wizards are going to get it. They're overdue.

People think OKC is going to be good for a long time.... but they're just 15 injuries away from being average.

Ok is like a python.    They just wear you down.    They just keep games close like last night.   SGA has a slow first half, JDub is out and Lakers hit 11 threes in the first half.   And it still feels lucky the Lakers are up at half.   They just take your best shot and keep it close.   They make you fight for everything.   Then eventually they hit you with a run and stop your offense and four minutes later you are down 15.  With how they play a 15 point deficit feels like 30 and you just lose all hope.

You think there could be a team capable of beating them in a play-off series and do you think their GM would then trade away its best player for a bum? Cry

The Warriors are aggressively searching for a star player to complement Steph Curry, per @ShamsCharania

The Warriors could also use their pick if it lands in the top 4 to acquire talent to maximize the few years they have left of Steph’s window
