BREAKING: Billy Donovan is exiting as head coach of the Chicago Bulls after six seasons, sources tell ESPN.

Man the Bulls are such a mess.  A week after the owners son says any GM hired would have to be ok with Billy Donovan the coach.  I wonder if that is still the case if Donovan is no longer the coach.

The bulls and Kings are just awful.  Although they haven’t done as much damage as our team has done with the fanbase.  We were just luckily enough to hit the lottery in one of those special years.  Mavs still have plenty of work to do to do but sometimes getting extremely lucky can save you from Bulls and Kings world.

The Warriors are reportedly fans of Gators head coach Todd Golden, per @KevinOConnor

“If Kerr walks, ESPN reported that the front office would consider external candidates, even exploring the college ranks. I'm told the Warriors love Florida Gators head coach Todd Golden. He's known the Lacob family for years, and league sources say they've long admired his coaching talent ever since he was an assistant coach at the University of San Francisco. But Golden would be no guarantee to leave Florida for a Warriors franchise that is, frankly, a less appealing destination than it used to be. With aging stars and no youthful core to build around, the Warriors may no longer be in a position to get exactly what they want.”

I don’t trust O’Conner as far as I can throw him.  Unless GS gets lucky in the lottery that team is no longer attractive at the moment.  Tearing down a dynasty is going to be a long, hard process.  It will be painful for the next coach and GM.  In all likelihood it won’t be fixed until the next GM and coach are hired.

Jokic is one of only 6 players to finish top 3 in the MVP vote
at least 6 times.

New Trailblazers owner Tom Dundon, is already ruffling NBA feathers with
his approach.

The blazers are at an interesting spot. They have some good young talent. Plus some good draft capital. They could be stuck as a good but not great team in th stacked west.

Now they have a new owner. He has been successful in the nhl but he looks to run a real tight business without spending money. Just something to watch.

Yeah definitely unusual approach. At the same time I doubt OKC paid Daigneault much to begin his head coaching career. Identify a PROPER UNPROVEN head coach and GM and you have two cheap, extremely hard working, smart people trying to prove themselves. I assume he won´t hire Nico Harrisons.

Can´t argue with his numbers. Eight years at Hurricanes, eight play-off appearances. Hard to attribute this season to him, but it´s play-offs again for the Blazers. More worried about a cheap owner that knows what he is doing than a Dumont or Vivek.

Given how sideways things have gotten with Cuban and Dumont, and that Cuban seems to have been the one pushing for Lindsey, I think he's a pretty unlikely hire in Dallas.

I see this as possible. Dumont might have decided hiring Lindsey is a potential way for the camel to get his nose under the edge of the tent, as they say. And I don't think Cuban thinking he is the wisdom-giver (or potentially crowing about how he figured out who Dumont should hire) would be a plus, generally speaking.

On a semi-related angle. I would not read too much in what we don't know about Mavs GM search so far. We know some of the names CHI is talking to, but they leaked that. Dumont could have 10 eye-popping names lined up weeks ago to talk with, and not say anything, until he's selected someone.

Lakers take a surprising 2-0 lead over the Rockets, despite missing Doncic and Reaves. Lebron has been playing ridiculous at 41 yrs old, and he's getting help from Smart and Kennard, who's been shooting lights out. Wemby suffered a concussion, and Portland took advantage to tie the series 1-1. Philly beat Boston, 111-97, to tie their series. Cle/Tor and OKC/Phx are the only series that may be short.

KD has hit 5,000 career playoff points, just the 7th player to do so.

That was a hell of a blow Wemby took from the floor. Made my head hurt just watching it. Face first and didn't even get a chance to break his fall. Kind of surprised they let him run off the court like that. Be a shame if he missed much time.
