TRADE: Davis, Hardy, DLO, Exum to WAS | Middleton, filler, 2 FRPs, 3 SRPs to DAL
I've always been really impressed with how Davis handled being traded to Dallas. To me he always came across as very professional and never seemed to resent the situation he was put into, which couldn't have been easy. Since then he's been nothing but professional and seemed to genuinely support his teammates and the Mavs.

That being said, it's feels very freeing to be out of the AD business. The injuries, the shadow of the Trade, the looming extension...all of that is no longer a concern and that feels great.

Wish him the best as a Wizard, hope he kills it (when not playing the Mavs), but I'm feeling much better as a Mavs fan today than I was yesterday.

I was told that AD wasnt worth any picks. He was only worth salary dump. We got 5 picks and more salary dump than ANY example given by anyone on this board ever.

People were ready to stop being fans less than 24 hours ago.

Lol!  You said this was the dumbest board in history for talking about dumping salary at the TDL.  Nice pivot.

I'm surprised he is back.  Its actually impressive to be that brutally wrong and then come back and crow.

We got way more than you thought. You are the pivoting. We got a lot and you and others are acting like you called it.

I was told AD had no value. About 1375 times in fact.

Shouldn´t you be more upset that you won´t see Flagg, Kyrie and AD win the Championship next year?

Not really.  I probably still would have preferred the latest Smitty suggestion of AD + DLo for KP + Kennard + Risacher.  We got more cap relief but I like Risacher better than a crappy first and 4 seconds.  A lot will depend on what they do with that space.  They have more than they needed so we will see.

Interesting options with the TPE and Cleveland. Allen for Gafford, Allen into the TPE, Strus + Cavs 1st into the TPE.

Pretty sure we´ll see one more move. Theoretically can also still move Middleton by himself, right?

BTW: who could they target with the MLE next summer?

I could see them go after:

- a few 6th men types like Anfernee Simons, Colin Sexton or Coby White

- Kuminga?

Ideally someone who helps fill a need who can stick around for a while.

Other names? The guards will probably all look for more money but my expectation is that one of them might get squeezed out of the market and will ultimately have to settle for the MLE

Risacher sucks. We got more than you were suggesting for weeks. That's ok. You like to play the unsatisfied role. It fits you like a glove by now.

If all were healthy the team had a shot to make some noise, especially with a high draft pick this year. Was it a uncertain? Absolutely! But welcome to life, my friend.

I would have been happy riding that wagon. I didn't have a unhealthy anxiety about AD due to trauma about a fat Luka who will never win a championship.

I am also happy to see what happens next. As long as the moron manchild Cuban has no say and we get a decent GM who ignores him in perpetuity.

I'm not sure what you are babbling about.  I have been clearly happy that they did this trade.  I'm still trying to wrap my head around the value of the extra space vs the assets I wanted.

I realize there are differing views on Risacher value, but to put another way, I would rather have had that CLE first (from Atlanta) than all the draft capital we got in the trade.

No you are already setting yourself up to be "disappointed" by proclaiming that our cap space should net us 4 more firsts and 4 total first in 2026. LOL.

How about wrapping your head about just watching the games and cheering?

More babbling.  Winter has the right of it.  Bye troll.

Crazy not a single reporter had the Mavs and Wizards discussing this trade. I like that.

I wonder if it just came together last second. Or if the new front office isn't leaking information to Shams and Stein.

No leaks is a sign of a well run organization. The Mavs have never been a well run organization.

Maybe we are moving on the better days.

I have to think the Wizards have had this in mind since acquiring Trae. A lot of stealth these last few days for sure.

Stein never sniffed it. Kind of amazing really.
